Sigh, I just don't know though. I guess what I've seen from my parents is impossible to explain, but they are the whole reason I believe.
Does trust determine truthfulness? If your parents told you the sky is lime green, does that make it true? Would you even believe them, or would you go outside and see the evidence, and summarily reject their claim?
That's what's important here: information stands and falls on its own merit, not who the source of it happens to be.
The thing is no matter the evidence, there's always a way around for religion.
