While the above Planck quote is a very questionable translation of a spurious German quote according to the Wiki discussion forum, it is true that Planck said some pretty spiritual wooey stuff. Which gets me to my point, because I encounter this on a regular basis: why do these new agey apologist people assume that
* it matters what some important physicist said about religion 80 years ago or so, and
* modern mainstream science is somehow ignoring the insights of quantum physics in lieu of "materialistic" science, which doesn't make sense since quantum theory with all its consequences is a main pillar of modern materialistic science.
