I wasn't talking about a sample size of one. I was talking about statistically significant observations among the entire praying Christian population.
If Christians overwhelmingly prayed for the health of their family and friends, and there was a statistically significant observable improvement in health of Christians over the non-Christian population, that would be impressive.
But I'm sure you're going to tell me that is not how prayer is supposed to be used. 'God' dodges another one...
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
