Weren't you a "devout christian," earlier on, Miss M? Wouldn't that then entail that the system was, in your view, created by a perfect entity who, nevertheless, included a series of bafflingly amateurish design choices throughout not only the human body, but the entirety of creation?

That's the point of this thread: to point out how deeply out of synch with reality any claim of intelligent design really is.

Amateurish? Enlighten me, oh great and holy Esquilax, how you would have made the human nervous system, created the stars, or formed galaxies. Or simply tell me how to create a blade of grass, since your knowledge and wisdom is everlasting.

I was a christian for most of my life, and I studied to become a minister, so I know full well what is meant about "god's image". I'm just making a point about how a perfect god can make something imperfect.
