Faith and religion aren't built on facts. There is currently no evidence to support the existence of a Deity. I think if religious people would just admit that instead of "challenging" people to debating God's existence, they'd be more respected because that would be a genuine point of view.
Frankly, if you can prove out your faith with facts, it ceases to require "faith."

Christianity came into existence during the first century in Palestine. Followers of a one Jesus of Nazareth believed that He rose from the dead on the Sunday following His crucifixion under Pontius Pilate who was the fifth prefect of the Roman province of Judaea, from AD 26–36. He is best known as the judge at the trial of Jesus and the man who authorized the crucifixion of Jesus. As prefect, he served under Emperor Tiberius.
