If you lived in Jesus' day, how would you of responded?

To the original poster: Why do you ask? Seriously, why did you start this thread?

And no, your generic "I wanted to know what you would do" babble isn't an acceptable answer. You posted a leading question with only one correct answer. It's obvious that you were trying to bait people into giving you the only logical answer to your illogical question. The real question is why.

Of course, this thread has gone on long enough that you've already shown us why, in post #28:

So you post a dishonest question (make the miracles and healing an assumption of the question, to hide that they're just as hypothetical as the "if you lived back then" part), then take people's only logical possible response and turn it into an excuse to start preaching. Did you contact paulpablo privately after that post to start preaching at him privately? You're not interested in the joking or insulting responses (of which there are many, AF being what it is), just the responses from those who took your question at face value and responded with the only logical answer, which lets you say "Gotcha!"

It's funny, as an atheist and vegetarian, I see the same tactics used against both groups. On a veggie forum where I've been a member for years, the classic example of a hypothetical "Gotcha!" question is the "What if you were stranded on a deserted island, and there were only animals to eat?" Some people on that forum talk about answering the question by shooting holes in the hypothetical scenario ("I'd eat whatever plants are keeping those animals alive"). But it's obvious that the only reason the question is ever asked is to get the veg to admit that they'd eat animals if it were truly necessary for their survival, as if that small concession was meaningful and proved that the veg person isn't truly "pure" in their veg beliefs. So I keep saying the best answer to that "What if" scenario is "Why? Do you know many people that's happened to?"

Hypothetical philosophical questions can be interesting to discuss among people who aren't trying to promote an agenda. But I don't play the hypothetical question games with people who are really just attacking those who disagree with them.

I'm thankful you put so much time and thought into this. If I were an atheist perhaps you would of been more in the question rather then the why I posted it.

There is little to no evidence Jesus even existed much less that he "rose" from a grave. Just a story in a book with no more credibility than other tall tales.

There is little to no evidence Mohamed existed either, but that's another topic.

I believe He rose and so do many others. I believe Jesus is who He said He is.
