My reaction to him would depend upon who I was, I suppose. Some people believed he was who he supposedly stated he was while others did not believe it. I cannot state with certainty that I would be a clear headed atheist back then, because I cannot transfer my conscious to the past knowing what I know now. Instead, I would be wholly a person of that time, ingrained into that society, and my belief regarding who he was would be dependent upon whether I was an ignorant peasant, a powerful figure, and whether or not I was a Jew.
