The reason you got an extra boost in Chrome is most likely just down to timing. It could have happened in Firefox or Opera. This isn't a rendering test, it's a download speed test, and that is dependent on your ISP, not your browser.
Yes, I know. What I'm suggesting is that speedtest.net are in with google chrome and are trying to make people think that chrome is faster than any other browser, because every time I run the test it's always 6.7 in all the browsers except chrome where it is always 7.3 and when I run different tests they all come back as 6.7 even in chrome.
