Bit is it just a corpse if it had previously been a loved one? That's what I meant. We have complex rituals in order to say farewell, and I dunno about you, but I'd feel insulted if some machine slaughtered my loved ones then ate them to give itself more energy. Or a bear/tiger/lion/nother human..(although species survival comes into play when humans are involved, can't say I'd refuse their corpse to the starving...actually I probably would.
