Atheism Is Cool

Anyways,

I must do a better job at introducing my self..

So,

I was born a Shia Muslim, in Lebanon, something like 25 years ago.

I used to say that I was born a Christian. I realize now that we are all born atheists and later decide what faith we wish to be.

When did you become an atheist?

You're absolutely right. We are all born atheists in the most literal sense of the word.

In fact, this realization dawned upon me after a long journey of suffering from a sense of disturbed belonging.

But specifically, it happened in 2012. It was not a quick fix sort of a thing. But rather, an excruciatingly painful process of reading and fighting with my social environment, and my own self doubts.

And to be honest, atheism was sort of forced upon me after all I saw in Syria...
