But specifically, it happened in 2012. It was not a quick fix sort of a thing. But rather, an excruciatingly painful process of reading and fighting with my social environment, and my own self doubts.

Many of us here have the same story. Often, the road to disbelief is difficult thanks to our upbringing and the societies we live in.

And to be honest, atheism was sort of forced upon me after all I saw in Syria...

A continual dose of reality will often do that to people.
