As for it being the same as the relationship I have with my best friend, how do you make that comparison? I go out with my friend. I call them on the phone. We have long conversations about all sorts of things and laugh together at bad jokes. We can touch each other. As far as I know, people don't do this with deities.
So, specifically, what does you relationship with Jesus entail?
Christ made me a believer. He had made it known to me that He wanted to have a relationship with me and I finally asked Jesus to save me and come into my life. It was a decision I personally made.
HOW did he make it known to you that he wanted you to have a relationship with him? Did this happen in your head, or....?
Quote:I spend most of my day hanging out with Jesus, talking to Him, laughing with Him, asking Him things, crying about things etc etc.
Does he do any of these back to you? Do you hear him laugh? Do you hear him cry?
Quote: With regards to touching Him, each time I, in His Name, touch one created in His Image it is as if I am touching Him.
Sooo, no actual touching?
Quote:So it seems that in at least several ways my relationship with Jesus is similar to your relationship with your best friend.
Only if Jesus is actually reciprocating. Otherwise, it seems awfully one-sided. I could have the same relationship with a pillow.
