It seems kind of obvious that Deists think some deity exists because there is something about the universe that, to them. is best explained by said deity's existence. Yet, they likely don't see any good evidence that said deity revealed itself, or is even particularly interested in (if it even knows we exist), to some group that founded religious tradition X.
