Quote:You did not learn the basics when you attended church did you. Christ was not sacrificed to God, He was sacrificed for man to cover the sin of those who believe in Him. God did not create sin, that accomplishment goes to Lucifer and Adam. The curse was for disobeying the God who gave them life, He loved them even before He created them. Sin is grievous not petty. Of coarse you can't understand this because you have no respect for the God who gave you life because He loved you.
This short sentence contains so many problems its hard to even list them:
Christ was sacrificed FOR man TO whom?
A sacrifice is an offering to something, the "for" doesn't change it.
God did not create sin it was Lucifer and Adam.
Hang on. I could see that Lucifer created sin but Adam?
If Lucifer was in the Garden tempting Adam then he had already rebelled against God. Was that not a sin? If it was then sin already existed and you can't blame Adam for inventing it.
Did God not know that sin would exist? Did God not create Lucifer? If God created Lucifer (and Adam come to that) then he at least created sin by proxy - but he knew he was doing that, didn't he?
Now the sin was for disobeying God which just confirms God's master/slave relationship he wants with us - that's love?
The sin in question was to eat from the forbidden fruit. God put the tree of knowledge in the garden to give us freewill. Freewill to do what? To sin? Then God knew of sin and created the opportunity for it.
Doesn't there seem to be some kind of disconnect for you? God gives you freewill but punishes you for exercising it - and that makes sense to you?
God loved us before he created us? Was this knowing that we would sin? Was it a surprise for him? If he knew we would sin - what's the freewill argument all about? Why bother with the garden at all? He knew the choice we would make, didn't he? He knew Lucifer would tempt us and that we would succumb, didn't he?
You know none of this makes a whit of sense, don't you GC?
