Adrian,

All I'm gonna say is,

Considering your own preferences for Royal Holloway, and also considering what you said here:

If I decide I want to do research, I could always apply for a PhD in Cambridge at the end of 2010. If not, I can go get a job like a normal person.

If you truly feel confident you can always fall back on Cambridge if it doesn't work out or whatever, I say go with Royal Holloway.

There's my opinion for whatever it's worth or not.
