When you are completely happy you wouldn't have any reason to struggle. I earlier point out that physical science can not bring permanent happiness
As i just said above the lack of happiness is the driving force behind the search for new discoveries (science).
What scientific fields are you including in 'physical science'?
Everything related to this physical universe and excluding what is not physical like the consciousness.
Quote:How does theoretical physics relate to the search for happiness?
When i am talking about happiness i intend total happiness.
Physically-materially you can get LIMITED happiness but everything limited
imply that man will have to continue the search for happiness for ever.
Today you buy a new car.
After short time a new model come up and your mind automatically loose the previous happiness in thinking how the new model is better than the one you just got.
From here we can establish that anything material physical can not give PERMANENT happiness.
And from here we can establish that all scientific achievement are also temporary form of happiness which can not solve human desire for infinite and permanent happiness.
Quote:Why wouldn't happy theoretical physicists want to continue making new discoveries in physics?
When the belly is full you don't feel to eat anymore.
At the same time when your mind find permanent happiness you got nothing else to discover.
You wouldn't be totally happy if there would be something missing.
It is obvious that when i say happy i mean permanent happiness due to
having reach the goal of life.
