I am with you. When the right or libertarians(who are nothing but republicans on steroids) start talking about hire prices and cutting jobs, that is nothing but fucking blackmail. They use this to get us to ignore the pay gap which is the real problem. The lopsided nature between the top and bottom is worst in America. It allows the top to keep slave wage workers and it does make them money. But for the middle class and working poor it simply makes things worse.

You cannot find anywhere else in westernized nations the same size gap America has.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Cities in Oklahoma are prohibited from establishing mandatory minimum wage or vacation and sick-day requirements under a bill that has been signed into law by Gov. Mary Fallin.

Fallin signed the bill Monday that supporters say would prevent a hodgepodge of minimum wages in different parts of the state that could potentially harm the business community.

Because protecting the fucking business community is all that republicunts ever want to do. Well, what do you expect. It's fucking Oklahoma.

Politicians have a vested interest in protecting the business community because that is where large swaths of tax revenue come.
