On a forum, the physical side of a conversation or argument is not present. You can't let someone know where the line is drawn with body language, and so on. That's why I try to completely ignore personal insults in the cloud.
I understand now I could have reported him and then told him that I had done this. Unfortunately, I didn't think of that at the time.
