Can you source that quote? I can't find it on WikiQuote, but I can find these:

"The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries."

"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy."

Perhaps you mistook this quote of his?

"Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

I appologise for muddying the water with my missquote, I never meant to imply that Winston Churchill was a socialist and am sorry that I gave that impression.
I knew it was referring to democracy I used the wrong term paraphrase when I should have said rejigged or some such.

I just liked the wording and thought fit nicely.

I shall be more carefull, (until the next time I fuck up)
