Isn't it better (for you) to err on the side of the majority consensus, than the alternative?..

The Majority consensus is only the majority consensus because for thousands of years apostasy was met with violence. People do not magically pop into believing magical Woo Woo god stories, they are socially pressured into it from a young and impressionable age. Christians have a piss poor record in converting rational adults even without the new infusion of redly available counter theistic information.

And another thing that makes me laugh.... "god's pets"? "our purpose is to praise him for all eternity"?

Yep, I don't try to imagine anything other than the face value of the christian religion, which, when boiled down, is merely the story of a god toying with his imperfect creation.
