Its not more efficient because it ignores the people who can't find jobs or otherwise earn a living. You going to let those people starve? Of course not. Now you have to have 2 means of wealth redistribution.

It is more efficient when you have one means of redistribution...and you only need one means. Living wage requirements are simply unnecessary.

Well, that's a good point.
