Yes silencer was hitting both with the Curse AOE and it was doing nothing except drain mana because of tangos (and casting of course). And to be clear, Curse does over twice the damage as mana drain. But it's not guaranteed damage - Glaives and LW are guaranteed damage (you can guarantee glaives 100% with truestrike), curse does damage only up until the hero casts a spell. Late game a properly farmed Silencer should be able to kill any hero - especially Weaver - while hexed without help from other heroes or damage from LW. 3.5 seconds is well enough time to kill weaver with Glaives. In any case if you cast LW then hex then the hero comes out of hex into a silence-disarm.
