Because as an atheist, I already appreciate life and all it's wonders, I have alot of appreciation for it. Why do you think belief in a god allows you to appreciate life more?

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
