I rather think we have, in all this intelligent design nonsense. It's quite telling to me that so far the attempts have been to sneak christianity into science; its almost as if theistic beliefs can't bear up under the minimum standards of the scientific method. Thinking

At any rate, it says a lot about the respect certain fundamentalist sects have for the process of science, that they'd try such cloak and dagger stuff.

In my view, intelligent design is not nonsense, its intelligent. This world was not designed by an idiot, nor did it spawn from the idiotic view of a self creating, self designing and self generating nebulous nothing.

I am not a religious man or a Christian, but I am often amused at how some Atheist seem to use science as a type of weapon against religion, not knowing that science was once a bedfellow with religion.

NO. Evolution has provided humans with a level of cognition to allow for discovery. However we can see other animals think their way through a problem and even use tools. Octopi are problem solvers. My dog also no matter how many times I plug up holes in my chain fence, she figures a way out.

Humans falsely attach their discoveries to being proof of their particular club or god claim being true. Religion is not a requirement to understand science nor it is the patent holder of science.

Your dog does not know its a dog, it does not know you are a human, it has no idea why it is alive, it does not know what time it is, it doesn't know what city you live in, it can't spell you're name, it exist entirely on instinct, no matter how you may defend this, you cannot give you're dog the level of conscious awareness that you have.

You're dog does not have the spirit you have. You're keen awareness comes from that spirit.

Very well said, I agree; religion wants to get the hold back that it once had on science.
