You don't like religion as an organized entity, GREAT, neither do we. But that does not make us equal to religion because you don't like the thought of a god not existing.

Interesting response. I think atheist have a better record and view of killing that the religious do. I think the world would be better off if it followed the atheist example toward killing than the religious record, no doubt. I have a thread on another site entitled, " Would the world be better off if it was entirely atheist, and what differences would it make?" The atheist there have given interesting response, the theist there are ignoring it.

One poster brought up the point about killing and how religion has played a part in a lot of killing. I agreed with him, because he was right, and history, even present history, backs him up.

I do not deny the good or evil in any group dynamic.

Dude is this your first time at an atheist website because you sure as fuck act like it. Do you really think you are the first to argue atheist vs theist body count bullshit?

Before the age of Enlightenment and the rise of secular law in the west Christianity was as bloodthirsty and barbaric as Islam seems to be in far too many parts of the middle east today.

Get this through your tiny pea brain skull, our ability as a species to be cruel or compassionate is EVOLUTIONARY, not label based.

I hate dictators. I hate Kim Jong Un. I hate Stalin and Po Pot, and Hitler as well. You cannot remove a dictator from his position. You cannot impeach a dictator. You cannot change this dictator's laws. He'll be kind to you as long as you kiss his ass, but murder you if you step out of line.

Now, how does God operate? Can you remove God from his position? Can you change his laws? Can you impeach this god? Seems to be nice to those who follow him? But what happens to you if you don't want to follow him?

Saying that all atheists love fascism and genocide is like claiming all people with mustaches love Hitler.

Now DUMBASS, "Author Of America", is a book about Thomas Jefferson written by GASP, an atheist. Christopher Hitchens. Atheists despite what bullshit you have bought, are perfectly capable of valuing human rights and political dissent and protection of diversity.

And another thing, before you go lecturing atheists on death and genocide, I would suggest you read your own comic book where the unmovable, unchallenged final authority either sanctions, condones or causes himself, acts of infanticide and mass genocide.

Oh shit, just pulled my fangs out. I think you were agreeing with me. I am so used to theists using "you've killed more than we have".

Still though, my argument applies to those who do try to make it a numbers game.
