Stubbs you remind me of a character from one of Asimov's Foundation novels, who puts up with an entire planet of people holding a silly superstition that if they raise their hands in a certain way then something bad will happen. You seem to just want to raise your hands to help people, and I admire that.
I'm curious about your experience, though, even if it seemed religious in some fashion. From 2009-2012 I had some of the most beautiful and vivid dreams ever, and since I'm atheist I was ashamed to admit to anyone that I did have some dreams that seemed to be taking advantage of the learned nightmare that is hell. The hell I experienced occasionally though was also beautiful in its own way and sometimes kinky. If you're willing, could you PM me about your experience?
