I just want to get this clear: Napo posts a silly picture joking that you suck cock (not the joke I would have made, because I don't think there's anything inherently demeaning about blowjobs, but hey) and it's a personal attack. Okay, got that.
So... what is it when you post comment after comment saying that we're all going to be tortured forever by what you believe to be the creator of the universe because we're all so awful? And in a thread you created specifically for that purpose, at that? With a poll at the top designed to manipulate us into victim blaming ourselves?
That's not a personal attack?
Oh no, you're right. If you'd said any of that to us in person, without any mention of your god, it'd probably be more rightly categorized as a verbal assault, or a threat. That's much better, right?
Now, consider the fact that we don't think your god exists, and suddenly from our perspective "his will" looks exactly like "your will," doesn't it?
Just try looking at what you're doing from our perspective.
Fair enough. I won't post any more threads about what the BIBLE says about your future or what a billion other Christians believe or I won't speak of something I know all of you already heard many times before but are now acting offended about.
Additionally, you'll notice that I have said multiple times that I DON'T want you to suffer in torment. I was attempting to get you to try Jesus instead of nothing. Surprise surprise - a theist wants you to find the love of God. Use your head, theists come with certain beliefs that we are commanded to share. Dur.
Quote:My taxes don't question the authority of God. Buying a TV doesn't question the love of my Savior Jesus Christ. Deciding on most of the days random activities is not going to bring into question my faith in God. It's just that simple.
How do you know god doesn't have specific tax preferences, favored TV brands, or say, a fondness for strawberry milk over chocolate? How do you know Satan isn't tricking you into merely thinking that all these day to day activities aren't questioning god, using your logic and reason? See, you've already allowed for the idea that the thoughts you come to can be manipulated for nefarious ends, doesn't it seem rather arbitrary to draw the line there? Couldn't the prince of lies be subtle enough to trick you into thinking he's not tricking you, by being tricky?

No, it's not arbitrary. I've explained but I'll explain again for you and Rhythm once again: If it's not DIRECTLY questioning my faith in God, than it's a useful tool. Is it arbitrary? No. Arbitrary implies that I picked whatever whenever. This is very specific of when and where logic and reason are useful. Does Satan want me to buy a certain brand of TV?!? What are you both some kind of idiots?? Why would Satan care what TV I bought? What kind of moron would even consider this bit of stupidity? I'm going to clarify one last time for you. It has to DIRECTLY relate to questions of the existence of God.
So, yes Rhythm, being here in these chat rooms has been dangerous in the past. However, I am armed with the power of Christ and I now know how to answer your questions and how to keep you from squirming out from the issues and on point.
This entire conversation should still be about evidence and the atheists unrelenting demand that it be used to establish Faith. Logic and reason are gifts from the creator and Satan has used them on you to eliminate any desire to seek out the God that made you.
