I don't know why anyone bothers to try to prove god in this particular way. Suppose the existence of everything were proof of a creator (that's a big assumption but let's suppose it for a moment). It wouldn't be proof of anything more than that a thing once existed that created the universe. It would not prove that the thing didn't die with the effort, is still around, has powers other than that of creating universes, is part of this universe, is interested in people, or much of anything really. Certainly it wouldn't prove that it was Allah, the Christian God, Vishnu, Cronus, or anything else in particular. That is why saying, "a creator did it" doesn't really saying anything more than "it just happened."
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
