It's not against the rules per se to use such patently offensive epithets, but it does cast a poor reflection. We have banned users in part for regularly hurling such words indiscriminately. Not a warning or threat or anything like that - I'd just hate to see things blow up over something like that.
Makes sense. I personally don't use either, but if I were going to use it it'd be in a situation where I knew everyone well enough that I know people would know how I meant it and not be offended.
