Well of course that's fine in itself, but as someone once said “you're entitled to your own opinion; you're not entitled to your own facts.“ Given the weight and the consensus of evidence against your gut feeling, are you willing to concedee the point and change your opinion?

I feel that a lot of atheist are very arrogant people, I don't have a belief in god myself, but I don't talk down to those who do, and this is what I don't like about atheist, and also why I don't call myself one.
Do you even hear yourself? “Talk me down to their level“ versus “I feel that a lot of atheist[s] are arrogant people“. There is arrogance coming across, to be sure, but it's not coming from the direction you think it is.
You're trying to make this into more than it actually is. When someone over-reacts so sharply to having their opinions challenged, it's only natural and reasonable to wonder whether there's something else going on.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
