It's not. Those are examples of unnecessary things which were called necessary. Meat eating is not necessary-- it is for many enjoyable and convenient, but at least in the developed world, not necessary.

I'm not comparing animals to humans. I'm saying there's no magi-special quality about humans that makes them more deserving of moral consideration than other animals.

Wonderful. If the world runs out of cows, pigs, chickens, and turkeys I will start eating vegans.
