I know you're right in your assertion that many people confuse "your" with "you're," but then again, many of them know better. They're just typing too fast. (Sorry I don't have a site to cite for this proposition.) I too, type too fast when I should take a moment or two to proof my post before hitting enter. Consequently, I too have often posted word use errors. There are also many times that I've caught myself and corrected the errors in my posts before they're discovered by those who think that their spelling is proof of their superiority. But more often I do not.
Considering the bare truth about how many I catch, please bear with me about the ones I do not, because if usage typos were bears, they would have eaten me long ago. Whether you will still read the sense of my posts or whether you be unable to weather the errors, I cannot say. Maybe you think I'm a loose canon or a lost soul, when citing the atheist cannon, but I hope you will find my rushed posts better than no posts at all.
Now can anyone give me a good mnemonic for the difference between "dessert" and "desert?"

If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
