Okay.....you have mites. Have you ever considered biological controls?

I have studied the use of nematodes and other biological controls, but I have not invested in the 'technology'. I use mantids in my outdoor garden and I love it!

I have to ask...has it ever occurred to you that your handling techniques and indoor area preclude infestation? The oil may be unnecessary ( a correlative non-contributor). What other houseplants do you keep...and where did they come from?

Yes, it has come up. I created a growing environment that [should] be impenetrable to pests (including mites). But wouldn't you know it...? The damn things are on the freakin air here where I live, and so contamination control is very difficult with regard to these lil guys.
