Quote:Yeah, that's the ticket, they outta get the hell out of the place they were born, where all of their family is at. It's either that or upset the bigots applecart. Wouldn't want to do that, I suppose. If fascism was about to be implement I would emigrate immediately along with my loved ones. Until it was implemented and we were still a democracy, I would fight against it and promote democracy. And yes I would understand why others would want to break the law, because they don't want tyranny, but it's unpractical for me to just risk my life when I can leave and find a better place to live, a country where 80% population supports fascism is not a very healthy one either way.
Lets try this again Black -if- 80% of the people in your country supported facism, what would you do, and would you wonder why others, who might want to stay - would "want to break the law"?
Quote:No, I'm suggesting that the russian apologetics I've seen in this thread is weak, and frankly- disgusting.I'll make this clear again, I'm not a Russian apologetic, I'm merely saying I don't care about hosting the world cup there, and as far as we know they could ban the law until 2018, it's 4 years. I call this merely impartiality, if Saudi Arabia had good conditions and their laws weren't enforced on foreign citizens and athletes, I wouldn't mind hosting the world cup there. See where I'm going? As long as they can host it financially, I don't give a fuck about their laws, even if I hate them it won't affect the sports competition. I will continue to see the world cup and enjoy it. I didn't agree that Brazil hosted it, I found the solution quite irrational, but I didn't complain about it constantly. And Brazil has serious problems, starting with extremely high criminality and overpopulation of prisons, followed by abyssal disproportion between social classes and lot's of poverty, I find hosting the world cup there just as reprehensible as in Russia (but for different reasons), but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the WC
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
