Oh please, you guys didn't invent the English language. You cobbled it together from elements of all the other languages you viciously mugged and hacked apart.
That language you guys created is like a Tim Burton monster with bits and pieces sown on from here and there. I mean, really, how many innocent languages were murdered and mangled to create this polyglot tongue? By my count, Latin, Celtic, French, German, Norwegian and Greek were all pilfered along with God-only-knows how many others.
No wonder we speak such a fucked up language. I pity any foreigner who must surely pull their hair out trying to make head or tail out of spelling and grammar rules.
