I'm trusting Patricia Churchland here, but the testosterone and aggression link isn't as 'clean' as typically reported. There's evidence that seratonin levels play and important role as well as an individual's childhood exposure to abuse. This seems to support your initial concern of not getting too enamored with any claims that suggest a particular hormone results in a particular behavior.
