When did logic and reason ever become a negative?
If God told you He did not exist, then if true someone on a deistic level is communicating to you in a dream. Which if true means some sort of edit does exist. This would lead any rational person to conclude that the deity doing the speaking is not the one you call God if again what He said is true.
Quote:Incidentally, the theist of whom I spoke, whose name escapes me but ought to be easily traceable by anyone arsed to do so, rationalised the account of my dream as my being deceived by the devil. He had to; it couldn't have been a mere dream, or a lie, because that opened up the floodgtaes on every other divinely inspired dream. I couldn't have been relating a true revelation, as in his mind the idea of his god speaking to an atheist bluescreened his brain. So the most likely option he could come up with was that the devil was fucking with me and using me to test his faith. Not much of a test if you do not proclaim any faith. If this was your dream again I would tell you that God was telling you that what you believe to be God, is a strawman you've created or at the very least understand to be God.[/quote]
