Its really bad for any electronics at all. A lot of the time our computer parts cost the same in £ as they do in $.. its ridiculous.

I've paid full price for a game exactly once in the last 20 years (Skyrim... All the DLC too). Last years titles are new to me.

I've heard you guys get boned on hardware pricing. With VAT, that's gotta hurt (unless it's included, then it hurts a little less).
