Actually, my favorite patient just died three weeks ago who had Downs syndrome. He was 26 years old. He was having brain issues, part of a Downs syndrome problem, that went undisguised BECAUSE his family was too stuck up their own asses to bother with him. He needed our services for his medical treatment and behavioral problems.

I am currently a caregiver for patients with mental and physical deformations. I feel pity for them because they're not happy and you can see it. It is written all over their face. I wish everyone was forced to do the work I do so they could see the misery my patients go through.
Medicated twice or more in a day with 20+ pills and liquids. Sedated when behaviors become too extravagant for us, or the police men, to handle... No privacy and never alone. You always have people poking and pronging at you. You have to have help bathing naked and you can't say no.
This isn't a life I'd wish upon anyone's child. It's terrible.
I couldn't do what you do.
A lot of people say that. I'm surprised that I am able to do what I do to be truthful with you. Lol. It's not an easy job.
