That being said, I'm delighted to see the US rocketing along towards the idea that you can't legislate differently for different groups. We did it nationally here just last summer.

I has been 100% legal here since December, 2012. So far, the foundations of society appear secure.
Honestly, the apparent difference is about zero- except to those who were formerly denied their rights.
