I really doubt I can change his mind.
First of all I live at a country where atheists are seen as weird people, I've been told several times that I've been brainwashed o.O
He has a blind faith, for instance he always laugh at evolutionism; when I told him about the synthetic life which was created he automatically said that it was fake.
Also when I question religion the answer I usually get is: "You don't understand", when I criticize the bible he says that I shouldn't talk about it if I hadn't read it, so I tell him: OK I will read it and I'll write down every single violent, sexist or contradictory quote. Guess what answer I get: You won't understand it.
I think theists think they're smarter because they think they can "answer" questions we can't such us the origin of the Universe or life and most of them think you are "empty" because your lack of believing in "god".
PS: I used Google and this forum appears on the second place.
I'm not English. Sorry for my mistakes!
