Of course we are being provoked. But this isn't the same reaction that Bush fell for reacting to Bin Laden.
No the west should not react to give them what they want, but we also cannot be isolationists either. I think Obama is far more thoughtful and measured.
I think America's centuries of long term policy are the bigger picture than one moment of time or one president.
