No, doing the same thing and and expecting different results is a definition of crazy. No, the same strategy would be idiotic, but that doesn't mean there are no sane military strategies that couldn't prevent the massacres.

If the executions of innocent men women and children is not a worthy call for US military intervention, what is? Seriously - answer this question.

Why have a military at all unless you are actually so xenophobic as to believe that we should only have love and have compassion for the lives of American men, women, and children and to "hell" with anyone who doesn't have a USA flag tattooed on their butt?

The reason the holocaust was mentioned was as a reference that Maher is of jewish origin and that they preach that we should never "forget" both the evil of genocide and the importance of standing up to protect the helpless.

Now the million dollar question is, what would be a successful strategy?
My best guess off of the cuff would be a strategy of containment, such as segregation lines of no man's land to slice up the country and stop the movements into the non-muslim and non-isis territories. That would buy time for ideological battles, and resembles nothing of the previous kiss up to the most radical mullah strategies of the bush and Obama 1 admins.

Yeah that's fine for the muslims, but what about the victims? Do you have no compassion for them? Are they not the right skin color for you to care about? If ISIS gave their condemned prisoners a last phone call and they called you, would you tell them to their face, "sorry, sucks to be you!?"


I love my fellow man and I don't love or care less for a person if they happen to live beyond our borders. I would again take up great bodily risk to protect my brothers and sisters here in the US or in the rest of the world. I'm too old go fight against injustice in the military, but that doesn't stop me from doing what I can. I pay expensive taxes that pay for our military and I sure as hell would rather them to go fight for the just cause of genocide prevention rather than for the usual fight for oil fields.
