Nice pics. I used to climb a bit, up until I turned 30 or so. After that I stuck to alpine climbing.
Regarding falling, yeah it's pretty common when you're roped. Climbing sans rope? Don't fall.
I can recall vividly the first time I caught my buddy on a lead fall when he was way to far above his last pro. Scary, for both of us - but he didn't crater. Completely different experience from a top-rope fall.
