Many moderate religious people bank on faith. Faith will never cut it for me.
With Jesus there is no liberal, conservative or moderate--we're either for him or against him. We can present evidence to support our beliefs, but we can only come to him through faith.
If something dealing with a supposedly factual matter can in principle only be arrived at by faith, then that is direct evidence that that thing is wrong to believe.
