The only time we will lose our aweness is either when we choose to or there are no more mysteries. Considering how many people are interested in mysteries, the latter case is more likely.

Also, a mystery by itself does not have the same degree of aweness as when you discover how to explain the mystery away.

Yes then it becomes nothing more than knowledge, as if we have concord it, we can be so arrogant with our wonderful knowledge, thinking we know it all when in fact we still know nothing.
