What happened to you is unfair. I know of someone who was falsely accused of rape and ended up in court. It ended up being dismissed as the girl was clearly unstable and had made accustations multiple times in the past. I think the system worked in both cases. The accusation was taken seriously, as it shoud be, however a lack of evidence means that there is no case to answer.
Taking these kinds of allegations seriously isn't a bad thing. In my country we have had a multitude of imprisonments of celebrities who abused young girls. When these girls originially went to the police they were just laughed at or ignored.
People take things too far, if you want an example of "Feminists" doing this then just go onto the Mumsnet Feminist section. Some of them are completely crazy. I'd imagine that in your case the girls mother may have had an unpleasant experience with a man, and as a result now has a deep distrust and perhaps hatred of men. It is similar to someone else I know who had a relative nearly killed by a group of Pakistanis, and now is a massive racist as a result. I hate these extreme views. They are the most dangerous as they aren't forged out of logic/reason, and they result in large groups of people being unfairly treated based on an interaction with the worst members of that group.
I'm sure there are members of the Feminist movement who want all men locked up, just as you could probably find some Atheists that want all Christians locked up. It doesn't mean that this view is a Feminist/Atheist view.
Feminism and hatred of all men are completely different. What you are speaking out against isn't Feminism as I understand it. Take the moral high ground, don't stoop to their level. It is really easy, and very human, to react to this kind of incident in a very devisive way.
