Yes, there's an increased risk of dying from heat stroke in the hotter months of the year. That seems obvious. 20 cases a year is a bit alarming. That's a bad way to die.
I remember a story where a kid was suffering, and the fire department was there with the mother. She was missing her keys or something, and told them not to break the window until she got back from her house or something. Luckily the guys did the smart thing and just broke into the vehicle once she was out of earshot.
