At the risk of accusations of continuing it, I would just like to mention that what you feel you have to say isn't half as important as the way you choose to say it. It is possible, for example, to tell someone that they're being a cunt without once using the word "cunt". Aim to disagree without being disagreeable - at least at first; that way you still leave yourself the escalation option for later.
