I suppose so but when it comes to views on life and the universe it's not easy to convince people, but more importantly it's rarely necessary. The way I see it, it's by living that you form your philosophy, as well as by having a philosophical approach and taking the time to ponder. Over time one instinctively decides for themselves what feels right.
I would argue that what 'feels' right is irrelevant, we are fallible creatures, and considering the inevitable mass of contradictory conclusions that 'feel' right to various individuals, It seems to me that if you actually give a damn about the truth you are pretty much required by default to discount feelings - they are intangible, sporadic and when taken into consideration in evaluating potential positions on any non-personal/interpersonal issue almost always bring entirely unfounded assumptions and preconceptions to the table. Not only that, but they tend to lead us to conclusions that we want to be true or ones that we are comfortable in accepting, when in reality our like or dislike of the truth is entirely without weight.
